I am assuming that you are talking about the articles written about the Ohio Board of Career Colleges. The point is that the school is doing some advertising/other things that appear to be illegal, according to Ohio State Law. It also appears that the board is not balanced with a fair representation of people who do not have affiliations with for-profit schools, meaning that the students may not be properly represented at the board.
This is a big issue for me and I believe it is the reason why MJCC has been able to operate so long under the radar. If you have any specific questions about the articles, please ask, I will be happy to answer them.
Oh Connie! You are wonderful! I would love it if you could find out about clinical sites for MJCC. I have very recently found out that MJCC has lied about who they have clinical site contracts with. They had a list of Dayton hospitals and surrounding area's. And just to let everyone know, don't ask questions, don't rock the boat if you are still enrolled there. They will make up some bull S%&t charges and next thing you now, your going to a disapline hearing. MJCC policy: Don't ask, Don't tell!
Things like that take up a lot of research, but I would be happy to take a look at a particular program. Any suggestions? By the way, you may email that answer directly to me....that way we can be a little more covert. It might help in the research process.
I have worked for MJCC for years and they hide ALOT!! For example, did you know that the Campus Director in Troy only has an Associates degree? The Academic Dean in Dayton only has a BA degree! The fact of the matter is that Delta is putting people in positions of authority and they dont know what they are doing! Bottom line!
If enrollment at the Sharonville campus does not pick up quickly the rumor is that the campus will close and students will be asked to go to the Springboro campus to complete their degree.
There are a lot of things I have seen in the past few months. It might lead you to wonder what really is going on. I wonder if the president and the others in the college really have a clue to any of this.
Great (and good) changes have arrived at MJCC. We are better and stronger now. The past is the past and now we move forward to help the community grow.
I am one person. I plan to make a difference. There is more than one issue that I plan to discuss on this forum and ultimately hope to make a difference with, even if it is just educating the reader. Some of those topics include indecent executive pay, current events and government waste. Right now I plan to make a difference in higher education reform. One of my current goals is to support and help pass the current proprosal to eliminate the Federal Family Education Loan Program and provide students with loans through the government backed William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan program.
As a program that already exists, Direct Loans are serviced through the Department of Education. By supporting this proposal, more dollars go to the students and less to outside loan servicers. This eliminates the billions of dollars that our government is currently giving to student loan servicers. It is time for our tax dollars to count. Please join me in making a difference. If you have interesting content, I will be pleased to add you as a blog author or to direct people to your own blog site. It only takes one person to make a difference.
i just read both and i am very upset as well as confused Connie! i dont know what it all means! im smart but leagal stuff lik this i dont understand.

ReplyDelete5 more people were let go yesterday at the Dayton campus. We were told the positions were eliminated due to low enrollment!
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting development. Is there any more information available?
ReplyDeleteMJCC lost approval to contine the nursing program. Other programs will follow like ST and RT. Sad for the students!

ReplyDeleteFor the sake of the students, I certainly hope so.
